Ma, You know I can't eat a coffee cake, listen to Eddie Murphy or drive past
a hospital without thinking about you. So one day I came up with an idea for
a birthday present. I would ask your friends and family to send me pictures
and stories about you.
I thought I could put together a book of all these items and it would make
a nice little present. Well Ma, that didn't happen. It became this incredible
project that I thoroughly enjoyed putting together. It became a way for me
to see your entire life through the eyes of others.
I have to thank everyone who contributed to this book, each in his or her
own special way. These are all people whose lives you have touched in some
way. In many cases, you are a big part of their lives. Here are some special
memories that your friends and family wanted to share with you.

This became the cover picture for a one simple reason, it fit the cover perfectly
in size and color. Actually, it is the only picture of you and your father
that I have in my possession. I happen to really like this picture. So it
was the obvious choice for the cover. Since this is a book of your life, I
thought this picture was a good place to start.
